Apollo
I’ll dim with your lights
I’ll disappear right here with your start-bright
I’ll stay right here on this balcony all night
Over your city
Under your skies
I’ll sidewalk over your streets
I’ll cross every bridge down la Seine that I meet
I’ll sleep on moonbeams and public benches every night
Under your lights
So please excuse me Monsieur Apollinaire
If I would be so bold as to translate your name
I’m in “the Zone”
Yes I do mean I’m in Paris,
So voila here are a few things that I’ve really got to square
When you’re gone
When you’re away from here
Time flows on
And though your water’s clear
You are gone
Beside but no where near
So raise your glass
Swallow it down my dear
Low
I hope that you’ll bloom every spring
And fall with every leaf that autumn brings
Then sail your ship to an ocean
And then I’ll sing
Until you dive in and breathe
So please excuse me Monsieur Apollinaire
If I would be so bold as to translate your name
I’m in “the Zone”
Yes I do mean I’m in Paris
So voila here are a few things that I’ve really got to square
When you’re gone
When you’re away from here
Time flows on
And though your water’s clear
You are gone
