$300.00 (one award available to each secondary school in District 22)
– students in Alternative Education are eligible for the award as determined by members of the Alt. Ed. branch. These students are not eligible through their home school.

Criteria

• candidate will have demonstrated responsible citizenship and social awareness within the school/community/workplace, not just academic achievement.
• must be a graduate who is planning to pursue post-secondary education in the year immediately following graduation
• must show proof of acceptance at college or university

Checklist

Selection Process:
• The nominee selected from each school is determined by the staff, in consultation with the Branch President.
• Successful candidate is determined by all OSSTF members within a Branch, preferably by a vote.
• Branch Presidents are asked to complete the form and submit to the District 22 Office by Friday, May 20
• One $300 award is available per school – students in Alternative Education are eligible for the award as determined by members of the Alt. Ed. branch. These students are not eligible through their home school.
• Cheques will be issued in the student’s name and forwarded to the Guidance Department Contact.
• proof of acceptance letter and a thank you note is required after Graduation
