Criteria

- graduate who has shown exceptional initiative in making a meaningful and lasting difference in his/her community, showing leadership in many areas
- open to students with an average of 75% and up who are supporting positive change in their communities.
- awarded to students who are helping to support change, nurture progress and contribute to making the world a better place.

Checklist

- fully completed and signed application
- transcript
- essay - up to 600 words describing the community leadership involvement that is the basis of the application (3 copies)
- 2 letters of support or confirmation from the community group, groups, or individuals who have been the focus of the student's involvement
- letter of recommendation from school
- optional essays: up to 250 words describing your family and personal circumstances (family employment, economic situation, etc.) or other extenuating circumstances that may be relevant to your application; up to 250 words detailing your activities if you have taken a year or more away from high school
