Criteria

- Canadian citizens or permanent residents
- enrolled in their first undergraduate program as a full-time student in a College or University in Canada
- Only students pursuing a post graduate degree in Education or Divinity are eligible for continuing support.
- preference may be given to children of ordained clergy, licensed elementary or secondary school teachers, Canadian military personnel, graduates of a Canadian Military College, members of the Engineering Institute of Canada and members of the Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Canada. Preference is also given to those who have previously received an award from The Leonard Foundation.
- successful applicants are expected to obtain employment during free time
- must participate in athletic, fitness or military activities
- potential for leadership
- demonstrate financial need - gross family income not to exceed $60,000

Checklist

- complete application form to be forwarded through nominator (list available on website)
- transcript of post-secondary courses (NOT Secondary School Transcript)
