Criteria

- sibling of an individual with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- currently live in Ontario
- accepted for first year in any level of a post-secondary institution (college, university, apprenticeship, post-graduate) in Canada

Checklist

- cover letter including information about future goals, career pathways related directly or indirectly to ASD, description of post-secondary course (any course of study will be considered, however some weight will be given to educational and career interests that relate to ASD), full contact information
- essay (500 words maximum) which describes the relationship with their sibling with ASD with evidence of commitment to supporting their sibling and others in the community, describes volunteer activities at school and in the community over and above the OSSD requirement
- academic transcript
- letter of recommendation from a non-family member familiar with the candidate, including information about the candidate's personal qualities and how they have contributed to the welfare of the sibling with ASD
- copy of sibling's diagnosis from a medication/psychological professional
- copy of letter of admission/proof of enrollment from a post-secondary institution
