- available for Specialist High Skills Major applicants who enrol directly from high school in the correct corresponding program and who confirm their offer of acceptance BEFORE MAY 1st.

Criteria

- Direct from secondary school applicants who have received, or are in the process of receiving, a Specialist High Skills Major credential.
- Eligibility is based on the average of the highest final senior level courses in required subjects as of May 1. Where the Grade 12 course is in progress, the Grade 11 final will be used.
- A minimum average of 80% in the required subjects must be maintained to receive this award.
- SHSM students must enrol directly into their related NC program. The award is associated with related programs as the SHSM certificate demonstrates an interest and preparedness for a particular field of study.
- Awards are issued for Fall start programs only.

Checklist

- IF AN APPLICANT MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS AND APPLIES TO A NIAGARA COLLEGE PROGRAM RELATED TO THEIR SHSM CREDENTIAL, THEY WILL BE OFFERED THE SCHOLARSHIP AS PART OF THEIR OFFER PACKAGE.
- If the applicant confirms their offer for the Fall term with ontariocolleges.ca by the due date, May 1st, the $1,000 will be applied to the student’s account.
- You do not need to fill out any forms to apply for this award.
