Criteria
A bursary is to be presented to one qualifying student from each DSBN Secondary School (does not include DSBN Academy. Please see DSBN Academy Bursary).
- be graduating from a DSBN Secondary School
- be a resident of Niagara
- be a first generation post-secondary student (parents have not completed post-secondary education)
- be accepted in an undergraduate program at a post-secondary institute (must show proof of acceptance)
- demonstrate financial need (must provide / self-declare low income information)
Checklist
- the Student Bursary application form
- credit counselling summary or transcript
- copy of acceptance to postsecondary college or university
- a student letter that includes a 200 word summary: of your experience in Secondary School, expectations and dreams for the future, challenges encountered regarding financial need
- a cover letter including a statement of educational and career goals
- declaration of financial need
