Amount

up to $6,500 per school year for up to a maximum of 4 consecutive years (not to exceed $26,000.)

Criteria

- Student graduating from a publicly-funded secondary school in the Regional Municipality of Niagara
- Student accepted to, and attending, an Ontario accredited and publicly-funded university or community college and who will commence this higher learning in the following academic year.
- Student has an 80% average or higher
- Student must have, or obtain, a SIN#
- Student demonstrates financial need. Attach ALL 2024 Tax documents applicable: Canada Child Benefits, T-slips (T4, T4E, T4A(P), T5007, etc., blackout SIN#), Parental Child Support, or equivalent for all parental figures
*** Financial Need Guideline: Household income less than $74,696 (for 2 adults, 2 children)
- Student who has demonstrated leadership and passion for learning

Checklist

- The Branscombe Family Foundation Scholarship application is to be completed (including all T-slips or equivalent (blackout SIN#) and other required attachments) and returned to the school guidance office by your school’s-imposed deadline. No late or incomplete applications will be accepted.
- The guidance office will forward complete applications electronically (preferred) or paper copy to the BFF no later than 4:00pm on May 1.

Include with, and attach at end of the application:
• All 2024 Tax documents (blackout SIN#) or equivalent, noted above. Do not send tax returns.
• Letter of recommendation from high school Principal or Guidance Counsellor (no electronic signatures), including Credit Counselling Summary or official transcript (dated Jan 2025) & midterm report for the Winter 2025 semester.
• Letter of recommendation from community group or individual that is not a family relation (no electronic signatures).
• Include post-secondary acceptance letter (with ID#), if available. No download links or send text pictures.
• Include a passport/wallet size picture with the application.
• Do not send duplicate applications and make sure application & all attachments can be read clearly before sending.
