Adult Computer Courses


 

What Does This Program Offer?

The Adult Computer Course is a half-day, tuition-free program that teaches students computer skills for career advancement, resume improvement and personal improvement. Students can learn Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook & PowerPoint. Students can also take courses in Graphic Design, Business Communications, Introductory Computer Programming, Digital Photography and other digital technologies.

Courses held at the Lifetime Learning Centre are 30-day programs with a variety of topics to choose from.  More information about these courses can be found by visiting our Lifetime Learning (Day School) page.

Courses held at other locations (Fort Erie, Port Colborne, Grimsby, Welland and Niagara Falls) are 90-day programs that cover Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

After completing necessary courses, students will be able to write the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification exam. We are a Microsoft Imagine Academy Licensed Facility.

As part of the Adult Computer Courses program, you’ll be able to:

  • Confidently use Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Learn other technologies including Digital Photography, Social Media and Graphic Design
  • Prove computer experience to employers
  • Earn credits towards your diploma
  • Have the option to write the Microsoft Office Specialist, Master or Expert certificate exams
  • Learn how to better use smartphones and tablets

Cost:

There is no tuition fee to take the Adult Computer courses. There is a $50 Certification Fee to take the MOS Certification exam ($25 to re-write).
