So What Exactly Do We Do?

At the DSBN, it isn’t just about the children at our schools. We want to help make Niagara the best community it can be for everyone.   We do this through a variety of educational programs that we call Lifetime Learning. Whether you’re looking to achieve your diploma, improve your marks for post-secondary school, get training to improve your employment prospects, learn a new language, or gain a new hobby, our aim is to help you reach your full potential.

A Diploma Might Be Closer Than You Think

If you’re an adult that did not graduate high school, we have a number of options to help you earn your diploma. We can assess your practical and life skills to determine if you qualify for mPLAR credits. Take courses during the day, at night, at home or online. Earn credits while training for a new career. Our staff that can help you choose the best option for you.

Take Your Career In A New Direction

Looking to make a change to your career path? Want to learn in-demand skills that can lead to promising stable employment? Our Personal Support Worker program offers hands-in experience and has a 90% job placement rate. Our Transition to Employment program can aid people with disabilities in making a plan to find employment and keep it.

Speak The Language You Want

Language skills are essential in today’s world. If you’re new to Canada and want to improve your English skills, ESL for Adults is an essential first step. If your ELKP to Grade 8 children want to become fluent in a language other than English or French, our International Language classes can set them on the right path. Both are offered in partnership with some local community groups.
