Welcome to the DSBN!

With almost 100 schools across beautiful Niagara, we always look forward to welcoming new students to the DSBN.

Get Started: Online Registration

Are you new or returning to Niagara and looking to register? If your answer is, “YES, please!”, then please follow the steps below. We encourage you to begin the registration process before the first day of the school.

Need to Change Schools? If you are already a DSBN family, and you are moving and need to change schools, please do not use the registration process below. Please contact your child’s current school to discuss changing schools.

To register a new or returning student, families must have:

  1. Proof of Student Age: legal documentation such as a birth certificate, passport details page, baptismal certificate, etc.
  2. Proof of Address in Niagara: utility bills such as hydro, water or cable; a tax bill or a rental agreement
  3. Family Contact Information: physical address, work and home phone numbers, e-mail
  4. Emergency Contact Information

Immunization Requirements

The Ministry of Education requires that every student (ages 4 to 17) has a complete and up-to-date immunization record on file with their local health unit to attend school. Contact Niagara Region Public Health to check that your child’s immunization records are up-to-date. Click here for more information.

Changing Schools: Current Students

If you are currently registered and attending any DSBN school, we already have a lot of your information on file! This means you do not have to complete the online registration. Please contact your child’s current school to let them know your child will be transferring to another DSBN school, and they will guide you on what comes next.

Going to Secondary? You’re All Set!

Grade 8 students who are currently attending a DSBN school do not need to complete the online registration. Please talk to your elementary school principal about your transition to secondary school. You can also check out our Make the Move to High School Guide!
