Students Harness the Power of Change

at Annual Conference

DSBN students will focus on putting character into action at the annual STAT (Students Taking Action Today) Conference on February 8. Students will be inspired and encouraged to harness the “Power to Change” through a number of challenges and activities.

Students will also be introduced to Josh Shipp, host of the popular TV show “Jump Shipp”, and author of “The Teen’s Guide to World Domination.”

Josh will share his compelling story about perseverance in the face of tragedy with students attending the conference. His biography notes that Josh “Attributes his personal growth to the support of a great foster family, dynamic teachers and enriching school programs.”

DSBN System Administrator Kelly McDonnell and S.T.A.T. conference chair says she is inspired by students every day. “Students motivate adults and communities to embrace change. Opportunities for students to exchange ideas such as those provided by the S.T.A.T. conference will go a long way toward creating a better future for everyone.”
