Creativity Abounds at Off the Wall Art Show
The DSBN Education Centre is home to some very interesting, thought provoking and creative artwork during the seventh annual “Off the Wall” art show taking place from May 3 to May 26. The show gives students from grades 9 to11 an opportunity to put their paintings, pictures, drawings, sculptures and other creations on display for the community and Board staff. This year's show features over 130 pieces from 16 public secondary schools.
"This show is an allows students to showcase their skill and creativity in the medium of their choosing," says DSBN Arts Consultant Gerda Klassen. “Visual Art also involves a great deal of risk taking and personal expression, and the Off the Wall show provides an encouraging and supportive environment for students to explore their creative sides.”
Visitors are encouraged to attend the free show at the DSBN Education Centre daily from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The DSBN Education Centre is located at 191 Carlton Street in St. Catharines.
