Ride Hike Run for Woodend – The Living Campus

WoodendOn Saturday, June 4, students, staff and community members will be lacing up their shoes and strapping on their bike helmets for the Ride, Hike, Run for Woodend.  The event will be a 30 kilometer bicycle ride from Niagara-On-The-Lake to Woodend, which is nestled on the Niagara escarpment. There will also be a shorter route (5km) for those who wish to ride, walk or run. Additionally, a 1.5 km family hike through some of the wonderful trails within Woodend is planned.

Registration is now available online by clicking here or by visiting the DSBN website and clicking on the Woodend slide. All participants will have the opportunity to fundraise through sponsorship. Those who raise over $100.00 will not have to pay the registration fee. The top fundraiser will win an Apple ipad or a family getaway at Great Wolf Lodge, and there will be event prizes and a barbecue at the finish line.

All funds raised will support the transformation of the District School Board of Niagara's Woodend Campus into an environment that will empower students through exploration and discovery, to develop a connection to the earth and understand their responsibility and impact on it. The revitalization of Woodend will increase opportunities for people young and old throughout our communities to enjoy the many outdoor experiences that Woodend provides.

See you on the 4th!
