Hornets Look to Sting NRPS at Charity Basketball Game

On Thursday, February 13, students and staff at Stamford Collegiate in Niagara Falls will tip off in a charity basketball game against a team from the Niagara Regional Police Service. The game, scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Niagara Falls school will raise funds for charities that support children.

“We’re really looking forward to Thursday’s game,” says Hassan Malik, Stamford Interact Club President. “The NRP have always been great about supporting community initiatives and we think this is a great opportunity to help children across the globe.”

In past years, the Interact Club has donated money to local and international organizations. “Last year, the money we raised through our different events was donated to the Mary’s Meal program which we learned about from the Sunrise Rotary Club of Niagara Falls. The money raised helped feed 37 school children in Africa for a whole year. We’re hoping to do even better this year,” says Malik.

Stamford Collegiate is located at 5775 Drummond Road, Niagara Falls.
