The DSBN has inventive, driven, and highly creative students across our secondary schools.
And to showcase their talents – and put their skills to the test – students competed in our 23rd annual DSBN's Technological Skills Challenge, with competitions in the skilled trades like robotics, coding, the culinary arts, graphic design, welding, precision machining, auto service technology, baking, carpentry, floristry, photography and many more.
Dozens of students moved on to compete provincially at the Skills Ontario Competition, and we are pleased to congratulate all our medalists!

Thanks to the hard work of our students, educators and mentors, this year the DSBN was awarded with the Secondary Award of Distinction, given to the school board with the highest scores.
Our gold medalists have earned a spot on Team Ontario, and will compete nationally at the Virtual Skills Canada Competition.
