We have been closely monitoring for safe levels of air quality on the hour today through Environment Canada’s Air Quality Index. As we look at the air quality projections for tomorrow, Environment Canada is saying that it is only expected to get worse.  

Based on these forecasts, we will be cancelling rigorous outdoor activities for tomorrow, Thursday, June 8, including track and field and outdoor physical education classes. All DSBN students will also be kept inside during recess.

We will keep monitoring for safe levels of air quality, and we will share updated guidance based on how the conditions continue to change.
